Atlantis Aquarius Take Us 'Swimming In The Nile' On Tower's Live Show

Texas-based band Atlantis Aquarius tuned into our Tower Instagram Live show, hosted by Whitney Moore, to talk about their latest single, "Swimming in the Nile", their upcoming single "Moonlight Night" and where they might be headed with thoughts of a new album. Bandmembers present include Jordan Cain, Hutton Ferrell, and Maxwell Smith. Both new songs get a live, acoustic performance from the band on our show!

Atlantis Aquarius' previous album, Leo's Rising, only came out in 2019 from Nomad Eel Records and was followed by extensive touring, but the band are already making headway with some new directions and sounds. As the title suggests, "Swimming in the Nile" is influenced by ideas of Ancient Egypt, Cleopatra and her lover Mark Antony, but also has a very warm sound that makes it perfect for a late summer release. The video was filmed in quarantine near frontman Jordan Cain's house.

The upcoming "Moonlight Night", however, is meant to conjure a more autumnal feel, the band explains, since they like to match musical tone to a seasonal aspect. It all plays into their interest in esoteric and spiritual things.
