There's a variety of uplifting southern gospel/acoustic/bluegrass/hymn selections that will touch your heart and soul. Enjoy great vocals and the sounds of acoustic guitar and upright bass, piano, steel, drums, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin. Chuck and Susan are joined by Libby Nation on piano and harmony vocals, Tommy Dodd on steel guitar, and Kirk McWilliams on drums. Susan's powerful lead vocals, the tight family harmony singing, along with Chuck's great guitar playing and a great selection of songs make this a must-have CD that you will enjoy listening to again and again. A renowned multi-instrumentalist, Chuck plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo equally well and has won numerous awards and contests throughout the South with all instruments. He was a member of Louisville, Ky.'s legendary Bluegrass Alliance from 1972-74, whose alumni include folks like Vince Gill and Tony Rice. Chuck has performed across the U.S., Europe, Japan, Alaska, Canada, and at such prestigious venues as the Grand Ole Opry, the New Orleans World's Fair, and the Savannah Music Festival. He has played at college campuses, festivals, churches, theaters, clubs, state fairs, village squares, and on street corners to audiences as small as one and as large as 90,000. Susan grew up in a musical family, deep in the heart of cajun country in South Louisiana, learning to sing and play the acoustic upright bass by playing music with her dad and brother when she was a teenager. Some of her earliest memories were of her grandfather sitting out on the porch with other musicians, playing his fiddle and singing. She grew up listening and playing in jam sessions at home where folks like Bill Monroe, the Osborne Brothers, and Jim & Jesse passed through to eat her mom's home cooking and relax before performing at the nearby Old South Jamboree. Chuck and Susan have performed together at venues like the New Orleans World's Fair and Savannah Music Festival, and for churches, conferences, tv and radio programs across the southeast and in many foreign countries. You will enjoy their latest recording-- 'Thinking About Home.'
