He began his recording career as a leader with the album "Gravy Train." He has since appeared as a leader of his own band and as a featured soloist at many renowned jazz clubs and festivals. Chris Morrison, who is the son of jazz guitarist Allen Morrison, began performing early in his life with jazz organists Richard McCrae, Bobby Buster, and Eddie Buster. Chris was fortunate to study with jazz guitarists Sal Salvador, Don Neary and Joe Diorio, arranger Bill Finegan, and pianists Charlie Banacos, Garry Dial and Mike Longo.
