As a member of Charlie Parker's All Stars and the George Shearing Quintet, he became a revered jazz musician. Has worked with famous musicians such as Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Bill Evans, Pat Metheny, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and many others.
