36?, an award-winning internationally touring art-rock band from Calgary, AB was living in a van on the road somewhere in North America until the pandemic struck in 2020. 'Naturally' was recorded in isolation. For Taylor Cochrane, (songwriter + singer for 36?) these recordings came as a much needed release of all the pent up energy that the band had accumulated after 8 months on the road. 'Naturally' encapsulates Cochranes frustration with the expectation of an artist to present themselves as the perfect package, and how that expectation seeps into and clouds their self-expression. On her latest record, the award-winning Baroque-Pop/Chamber-Folk songstress Laura Hickli explores her departure from religion after a life of indoctrination. Featuring world-class musicians and recorded at various Canadian music studios including The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Hickli's latest sound will take the listener on an unforgettable journey with pristine experimental production in the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Weyes Blood, and Bon Iver whilst nailing the sincerity and attitude of iconic artists like Kate Bush, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos.
