Adam Rich: You Cant Escape Life

Adam Rich: You Cant Escape Life
Title: You Cant Escape Life
Label: CD Baby

You Can't Escape Life is Adam's second solo CD on his own Love Muffin record label. Half instrumental guitar work and half songs containing vocals, the influences of Joe Satriani, Michael Fath, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse and Kirk Hammett burst through on the CD's 10 tracks. Adam explores a wide array of styles, covering rock, pop, punk, reggae, ska and jazz, all with a guitar-driven base. "Perfect" is melodic punk reminiscent of Social Distortion, while the title track "You Can't Escape Life" brings Ben Harper to mind. "Whirling Dirvish" and "Big Blue" are clearly inspired by Joe Satriani, and "Go Away Mr. Telemarketer" combines reggae and punk in the manner of Reel Big Fish. Adam worked closely with long time friend Jared Levengood of Crème Deluxe Studios, who produced, engineered, and mixed the CD, as well as contributing some songs. Vocals are provided by several guests including local favorite The Uncanny Xela, Pacemaker Jane's Brian May, Derek DePrator, and Andy Elias.
