Blind Blake was one of Paramount's most successful blues stars, second only to Blind Lemon Jefferson. In spite of his fame, he remains a virtual biographical blank. What happened to Blind Blake? His disappearance in 1932 from the Chicago blues scene, where he was undisputed king, is one of the unresolved mysteries of early blues. Similarly mysterious is Blake's prodigious finger style guitar technique which has plank spankers to this day asking: "How the hell did he do that!?" This 20 track compilation features music recorded for Paramount from 1926-30.
