"This was real chamber music playing, with no sense of soloists coming together on an ad hoc basis," wrote The Guardian when Leif Ove Andenes performed Schumann piano trios in London. His long-standing duo partner Christian Tetzlaff and the violinist's sister Tanja Tetzlaff. Schumann's first two piano trios were composed in 1847, the third in 1851 and they stand as three contrasted and complimentary masterpieces. In the composer's fascinating sometimes experimental canon of chamber music.
