This self-produced album stretches out with several instrumental tracks and a wide variety of styles with some great vocal hooks. Carey Ziegler - Bass Guitar, Lead & Backing Vocals Glenn Workman - Keyboards, Vocals, Whistling Mark St. Pierre - Drums, Percussion, Vocals Andy Shriver - Guitars, Vocals J.-J. Gunning, Jr. - Trombone, Didjeridoo Barry Caudill - Tenor & Baritone Sax, Flute, EWI Dave Makowiecki - Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Accordion This album uses the HDCD process for extra dynamic range, but will play in ALL CD players. Excerpts from reviews of this album: Music Monthly Issue #227 ...shows off quite a lot of versatility...It oozes the atmosphere of city life...vocals covering the spectrum...It's complexity keeps the interest alive and works very well. There are also a wide range of moods...The arrangements are top-notch and the musicianship is A-1.The tunes capture your attention and hold it throughout Germany's House Of Rock website: (rough translation) SKY KING...A further instrumental work of art Who always already wanted to know what a session between the MOTHER'S OF INVENTION and 10 CC sounds like, should sharpen their ears on RACCOON THEORY. This is complex pop music that is presented with incredible humor. All 10 Tracks burst with musicality and witty ideas.  In addition the seven members all have incredible instrumental ability. The sound of this HDCD procedure is also first-class. That applies to the total production. IT IS A MUST HAVE. Fan review 1: Congratulations on your new CD.It offers a well blended progression of modern rock with just enough jazz. The long wait for the encode/decode supersonic 20 bits of rock my world computer was well worth it. That peak limiter thing stimulates more than tape saturation if you know what I mean. The horns and percussion are fabulous! So turn your ears on all you music lovers. For this finely composed musical package unfolds nicely and rises up to all the classics we've come to love over the years. Thanks for being a great band CZEH Fan review 2: The new CD was well worth the wait. You guys should be very proud. The sound quality is top-shelf, brilliantly mixed, each song is a winner, incredible individual performances that don't overshadow the fact that this is one tightass band.
