---Bio--- Casey Clark was born and raised in Bethalto, Illinois--a lovely little town near St Louis, MO where football and basketball ruled the school and where, when Casey said she wanted to be an actress, people said 'Oh, you mean like TV?' Well sure. Maybe Law and Order someday? But live theatre is where her heart lives. Casey and her husband Chris are now residents of New York City, where Casey starred in Shout! The mod musical (Red Girl) and Frankenstein (Agatha, Elizabeth u/s, original cast album), both Off-Broadway, the 2008 NYMF hit The Hatpin (Marianne), as well as many readings and workshops of new musicals, including Friends Like These (Dana) and Big Tent (Choir), concerts like the "Broadway Loves the 80's" series at Joe's Pub, and Her Song, the acclaimed revue of female songwriters and lyricists at Birdland Jazz Club. She has also enjoyed experiences at regional theaters around the country, including Flat Rock Playhouse, North Carolina Theater, The Lost Colony, Cumberland County Playhouse, and Stages St Louis. Casey recently finished her debut solo album, entitled the song begins... at PPI Recording Studios. The album features four brand new songs from her composer friends Ken Clifton, John McMahon and Jay Jeffries, and Peter Rutherford and James Millar. While not pursuing her stage career, Casey has a vocal coaching and music prep business, is a serious experimental baker, starts crochet projects, reads voraciously, and volunteers with VocalEase, a group that performs for senior citizens in New York. ---Reviews--- As difficult as it is to portray a beloved literary character, it may be even harder to imagine a more perfect Jo March than Casey Erin Clark. Bold, funny and possessing a luminous smile that brightens even the cheap seats, Clark is excellent as the young woman who dreams of making it as a writer, not just as a wife. --Riverfront Times/Paul Friswold Casey Erin Clark, in her debut with Stages, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the role of Jo, and delivers a heartfelt and immensely appealing performance that draws-and deserves-a standing ovation.--talkinbroadway.com/Robert Boyd Marie-France Arcilla, Erin Crosby, Julie Dingman Evans, Erica Schroeder, and Casey Clark, who truly prove themselves a fab fivesome as they work through a rowdy roster of '60s and '70s favorites. With dedicated diligence that never gives way to winking, they tackle songs like 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'Downtown,' and 'Those Were the Days' with a spirit that might make you temporarily forget these songs' original versions.-talkinbroadway.com Marie-France Arcilla is Blue Girl, Erin Crosby is Yellow Girl, Julie Dingman Evans is Orange Girl, Erica Schroeder is Green Girl, and Casey Clark is Red Girl, who often proved to be a show-stealer. Clark is meant to be the awkward one who feels she'll never get a guy, but she turns the cliché into an advantageous coming into her own and earns special audience favoritism.-wolfentertainmentguide.com Casey in Red stood out for me for her believable comic characterization (she's the awkward Mod wannabe) and the strongest personal journey, which provided a genuine emotional punch towards the end. -Truonline.org Shout Hallelujah! Everyone knows The Fab Four from Liverpool. Well, make way for the first ever - Female Fab Five. Shout! Gives us five of the most deliciously talented young women ... and Casey Clark (Red Girl - think a young, gifted Carol Burnett). I've always hoped to see an understudy go on and shine like a star. Casey Clark did just that.- Oscar E Moore for talkentertainment.com.
