Love is Everything pairs Charlie's baritone voice with the dedicated Pittsburgh instrumentalists to bring to life the exciting and complex arrangements of the Grammy-winning John Wilson. By day, Doc Stewart heads a family dental practice in McMurray, PA. A graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Charlie served in the U.S. Army Dental Corp primarily in Germany for 39 months. By night, Charlie pursued his true passion, music. It wasn't long before he was playing string bass behind the likes of Keeley Smith, Rosemary Clooney, Eartha Kitt and Robert Goulet. Charlie's love of music is second only to the love of his bride, Diane, whose lovely face graces the cover of this album. Diane recalls the delight the evening she met her husband on a blind date arranged by a co-worker. 'I'm not a blind date kind of person,' she says. 'But when I heard he was a musician, I was intrigued.' She laughs as she recounts a story about balancing Charlie's string bass which was protruding out the window of his tiny Porsche convertible as they drove to one of his many gigs. Charlie composed the title track of Love is Everything for his wife and this album is dedicated to her. Love is Everything is the culmination of decades of music-making and it's with great pleasure that Charlie shares it with you. John WIlson has performed across the country as a trumpeter for the Benny Goodman Group. A widely respected arranger for jazz great, Nancy Wilson and many others, he holds a doctorate in music from New York University and chaired the jazz department for many years at Duqusne University. A special thank you to Tony Gallo, the tenor saxophonist on the album, who suggested Jahn as the arranger.
