Title: Electric Magick & Acoustic Alchemie
Artist: Dignam, Chris
Label: CD Baby
UPC: 884501462693
Genre: Rock

Dignam's guitar influences include Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Django Reinhart, and Michael Hedges. Dignam's playing and writing style incorporates many elements of rock guitar, complimented by his rich texturing of acoustic instrumentation. The "Electric Magick and Acoustic Alchemie" sessions provided Dignam with an opportunity to incorporate electric guitar with aspects of acoustic instrumentation, including harp guitar, nylon and acoustic guitar, mandolin, Appalachian dulcimer, and bouzouki. Dignam's use of a wide array of guitar effects also added to the disc's "magical" sound - present in each of the album's vocal and instrumental compositions. 'Electric Magick and Acoustic Alchemie' sounds just as it is titled - a pseudoscience of electric and acoustic instruments and compositions. Dignam's contemporary rock guitar style is evident throughout the disc on each of the vocal and instrumental tracks. Electric Magick and Acoustic Alchemie will not disappoint from beginning to end.
