Dimmed is a musically and dynamically diverse band, consisting of members whose wide-ranging tastes and influences in music are a recipe for something special. Take the vocal style of Jonathan Moreland, who is influenced by many modern-rock bands, such as 3-Doors Down and Incubus. Add to this the textured guitar playing of David Cheney, who grew up listening to 90's icons such as the Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead. Sprinkle in a bit of Travis Hairgrove, the eclectic bassist who derives much of his playing style from bands like King Crimson, ELP, and Zappa. Finally, garnish with the drumming of Mike Rowland, who calls bands such as The Police, Dream Theater, and Tool his influences. The final result is a band that many have likened to a mixture of Tool and Incubus.
