Dyanne Harvey's debut album Bottle of Wine is an epic taste of love and lust, hope and regret. It's a beautiful union between the singer/songwriter's soulful voice and the poignant musical composition that make up this pop/rock record. From the hopeful melodies of "Dive" to the cry of the guitar in "Too Late Too Soon" to the sensual bass line in "Just One More," this album finds your heart and patches it back on your sleeve. Bottle of Wine can be described as a mosaic of piano driven melodies that give it a Sara Bareilles likeness while the playful minor chords and the soul-filled melodies are reminiscent of the late, great Amy Winehouse. You're sure to hear an easy listening guitar riff that would make Sheryl Crow smile or a whisper of a lyric that Jewel could have pulled from her pocket fused with the deep tones of Annie Lennox to pull it all together. This ten song album is a Dear John letter to put it simply. It's a goodbye letter to the past and a deep, lung-filled breath of a brilliant future. Her songs are about what was, what could have been, and what may still have the chance to be in one's life. Dyanne explains, "I need music to locate how I'm feeling rather than trying to make me feel better. I'll laugh when I want to and cry when I want to and music needs to find and follow me." As you twist and turn through the chord progressions, the sensations stirred from her music become tangible. It's all in a thought like it's all in a song and it's ALL on this album. Bottle of Wine was recorded at Littleton Music Group in Columbia, Tennessee, and has been quick to turn heads. Key influences for the project include: producer Trey Gray (touring drummer for artists such as Brooks and Dunn, Jewel, and Faith Hill) and co-producer Mike Kyle (noted for his co-production work on Ronnie Dunn's solo project). Littleton Music Group has made it easy to connect to each track of Bottle of Wine while creating a new blend of pop, soul, and rock. 'Pop fans would likely compare her strong, full vocals to Adele. Rock fans would probably hear the soulful tone in her voice and think Fiona Apple, while country fans may hear identifiable, yet sometimes unladylike, lyrics and be reminded of Carrie Underwood.' - Nathan Woodside, The Courier (Aug 21, 2012) Born and raised in Central Illinois along with her three siblings, Dyanne grew up a farm kid a few miles outside of the small town of San Jose. She was a vibrant, creative, and happy child according to friends and family. Her childhood was filled with both adventure and responsibility taking care of an assortment of animals on their small plot. There was always music in the air, whether on the radio or from her grandmother singing in her folk band, Prairieland Pickers. In fact, she jokes about her grandmother having more gigs than her! During her teenage years, she realized that writing and singing were in her stars and she began to pursue that dream seriously. Through broken promises in love and a dubious church environment, Dyanne found her niche in music . Learning to write songs by reading CD covers, she filled her notebooks with lyrics and sang wherever she could. These venues included: sporting events and prisons, bars and churches, fundraisers and parties, funerals and weddings. Admittedly, and much to her dismay, she wears her heart on her sleeve and although she feels ten feet tall and bullet proof some days, her music shows her vulnerability. Dyanne ponders, "My music is just me sharing with people my own private search for myself and truth. That's what being an artist is all about."
