Title: Between Planes

Emery Christiansen is the name of the group, not any one person. The group is from Rockford, Illinois and is well known for it's ubiquitous yellow EMERY WHO? stickers. The music is usually described as Americana but Emery is really beyond labels. Playing folk, blues, rock, reggae, secular gospel, humorous originals, rock-a-billy and covers by artists such as Roy Orbison, Hank Williams, Steve Goodman, Elvis and countless old blues masters. Between Planes is an album of original music that was initially released in the 1980s. Emery has now reformed and working on a new album to be released in spring of 2011. Members on the original recording are: Ron Holm, lead vocal, Guitar, Harmonica; Chuck Sweeny, Keyboards and vocals, John Bishoff, Guitar and vocals, Rick Kellet, bass and Ron Sunday, drums. The current group features all of the original members with the exception of Jerry Parlapiano on bass.
