2017 release. Dai & The Ramblers are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from London's roots music scene over the last couple of years, and play in a style joining the dots between Cajun, folk and blues music. This is the band's second album and kicks off where their debut left off, in typically rambunctious and swampy fashion, but later reveals a band that has evolved over a couple of hard-gigging years. Singer and guitarist Dai Price writes songs for Dai & The Ramblers, and also runs the New Orleans rhythm and blues sextet The Cosimo Matassa Project. Double bassist and multi-instrumentalist Rupert Gillett runs The Cabin recording studio in Walthamstow and plays with The London Klezmer Quartet. The band features folk veterans Alan Dunn on piano and accordion (Loudon Wainright, Richard Thompson), and Bob Loveday on fiddle (Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra).
