Gerald Cannon is a premier bassist known for his fearless, solid groove. He has worked with artists such as Art Blakey, Dexter Gordon, Cedar Walton and carried the bass chair with trumpeter Roy Hargrove from 1995-2000. In 2001, he began working with legendary drummer Elvin Jones. Gerald has now taken the reins as a leader with his debut self-titled release, "Gerald Cannon," featuring alto saxophonist Sherman Irby, pianist Rick German son and drummer Montez Coleman.
