2009 two CD set. Guy Mitchell was one of the most popular pre-Rock 'N' Roll vocalists whom, to many, evokes the last period of America's innocence before the Rock revolution. He was also a precursor to the late '50s teen idols as he was the first major recording artist who's career was crafted in the studio, by the record company and sold to the public by the way of records and radio, not concerts. His claim to fame began with his double sided hit 'My Heart Cries for You' and 'The Roving Kind', which rode the charts for 21 weeks and sold nearly two million copies! Also featured is 'Singing the Blues', which topped the American charts for 10 weeks. With 23 Top 30 hits in the States and 33 British hits in both the Record and Sheet Music charts along with movie and TV appearances Guy Mitchell was the real deal.
