"Dr. Evil" is the logical follow-up to the band's first release in English, "Still On Fire" (2016). For this album, Hammerschmitt used a lot of material from their analogue demo archives from the early 90's - except for the newly composed songs "Metalheadz", "WhooHoo" and "Crazy World" - thus returning back to their rootsFor the first time since 2011, "Dr. Evil" offers 12 new and original songs, that represent the band's experience, but also their insatiable hunger for more! Due to a very high, demanding recording intensity and the total understanding of how Hammerschmitt must sound, Fabian Wenzl has, along with the band, packed everything that makes Hammerschmitt stand out - both in the studio as well as on stage - into the recordings, making sure that the personal standards of the musicians were raised even higher. Achim Köhler catapulted "Dr. Evil" to a new level with the album's final mix and mastering, thus shedding a new light on the band: They sound more heavy, modern and in-your-face, but there's still Hammerschmitt written all over it!
