Unlike Bach, Mozart or Beethoven usually we do not provide us with Joseph Haydn as a performer before; He has posterity stamped solely as a composer. But he was throughout his career always performing musician: He was a singer, organist, pianist, violinist, violist, Barytonspieler, etc. So it is not unlikely that the six Haydn incurred to 1769 Sonatas for Violin and Viola Hob.
