Jack presents one hundred years of great American music -- songs from 1847 to 1950. Here Jack is in the company of the wonderful pianist Gary Neuman and my old friend and fellow musician Steve Hanson. Everything from \'Oh! Susanna\' (1847) to the Academy Award- winning \'Mona Lisa\' (1950) is presented here. All tracks are Banjo and rhythm, with the exception of track five, which is a very nice rendering of Scott Joplin\'s \'Solace\' by Mr. Neuman. The music and musicianship on this project is terrific through- out, however for me the whole CD is worth track ten -- \'The Way You Look Tonight\'. It is very smooth and beautiful -- I love it! Wow -- then right after that comes more of the same thing. Beautiful tremolo and wonderful rhythm feel from Jack and the guys. For me this is Plectrum Banjo that I could lay back and listen to over and over again. -- Eddy Davis is the banjoist/leader of the Woody Allen Jazzband & resides in New York, NY.
