With his roots in Seacoast, NH, Jake shares his food for thought with his whiskey soaked, gravely voice, an acoustic guitar, and a harmonica. At the budding age of 22, Jake's songs tell the tales of an old soul, who has survived the trials and troubles of labor, love, and loss; An old soul who has been molded by long nights, mild neurosis, ruckus-raising hootenannies, women, temptation, and American music. More often than not, you can find him performing in clubs, bars, and places in-between with his string band, Jake Davis & the Whiskey Stones. Beyond a hearty voice and an acoustic guitar, Jake's original music on the 'Live & Learn' EP is brought to life with the banjo picking' of Tailer Ransom, and the drive of Scott Keifner on the upright bass. Together, these three young musicians create new music with an old-time sound. Bending genres between folk, jazz, bluegrass, and rock, the influences of groups like the Devil Makes Three, Tom Waits, and traditional American music is apparent in this Debut EP. The album was recorded by Christopher Chase at 1130ft. Studios, Rollinsford, NH.
