Genre: Blues
This is Jason's first release as band leader in seven years. Of course, he's been busy with other projects including being a special guest on the, late great, Johnny Winter's Grammy winning CD. Jason's TV performance on the induction of the great Paul Butterfield Blues Band into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, was quite an honor. Jason is an amazing innovator of the blues harmonica (and beyond) but this CD is about Jason and his great New Orleans band, The Bad Kind. Their new material further showcases the growth of their incredible talents. This new recording is going to smash any preconceived notions of genre boundaries. I don't think they've come up with a name for the music these cats make. We just call it 'Jason Ricci & The Bad Kind'.
