Jennifer Morrison was born in Red Deer, Alberta, but grew up on a boat in Vancouver. Coming from a family of musicians and mariners, it was pretty natural for her to grow up to be a singer, songwriter, and sailor. She went to her first jam before she could walk, - and she began singing with the family band and even wrote her first song while still in kindergarten. By the time she was in high school, writing songs had become an important way for her to make her world right. She says, "I have been playing guitar since I was 5yrs old and writing songs since high school. However I did not develop my art until I found myself stuck in Calgary with no shelter/money or food and discovered that people were willing to hear me sing." She went on to busk, host jams, and perform in many places across BC and Alberta. Living a gypsy life inspired Jennifer to turn her experiences into songs of the heart. Many of her songs are intimate personal messages for people she loves. Her calling is to touch others by turning struggle, celebration, and caring insight into song. Although strongly influenced by folk, rock, and jazz, Jennifer draws from a wide range of musical roots as she eclectically crafts settings for each of her messages. As a result, her songs often refuse to be squeezed into any particular category. Her first CD Depth Perception was released in 2001 and is available on iTunes. The years since then have only deepened Jennifer as a songwriter. During public performances, audiences resonate strongly to her new music. Watch for Jennifer Morrison's upcoming release, Jar of Reality. Depth Perception Credits All songs written and composed by Jennifer Morrison Publisher: Busker Babe Productions, LTD.
