Guitarist Joe Scott grew up in Richmond, Virginia where he started lessons after receiving a guitar for Christmas at the age of ten. He made his 'stage debut' performing a song his grandmother taught him in a school play in the fifth grade. Early influences were Duane Eddy and The Ventures but his interests eventually grew beyond rock to include jazz, country, soul and blues. He taught guitar at Virginia Commonwealth University for eight years and was a first call guitarist with the Richmond Symphony where he accompanied everyone from Bernadette Peters to Neil Sedaka. His recently completed CD 'Morning Joy' consists of ten original songs that reflect the diversity of his musical experience and influences. '...an excellent guitar player... one of the area's best...' - Richmond Music Journal '...displays excellent technique... he shows incredible sensitivity and an uncanny instinct for smooth transition; he comes across like velvet.' - Richmond Magazine.
