Collaborations include performances with soprano Olga Makarina of the Metropolitan Opera, choreographer Neta Pulvermacher, composer-conductor Octavio Vazquez and trumpet virtuoso Josef Burgstaller. TV and Radio appearances include stations such as RAI International (Italy), RAI Tre (Italy), RTN (Russia), Radio One - CBS (USVI), Paradise Radio (USVI), and SBS (Australia). Highlights this season include the release of his fourth CD 'Sinfully Classical' with works of Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms and Debussy, tours of Italy, the United States, the Caribbean, and New York performances in Carnegie Hall (Sept 21 and Dec 5, 2006) and the NY Philharmonic Chamber Concert Series (Jan 21, 2007). Born and educated in Italy, with dual U.S. and Italian citizenship, Mr. Gargiulo studied at the Verona State Conservatory (Randone), the Mugi Academy in Rome (Ciccolini) and the Moscow State Conservatory (Zuponcic/Mezhlumov). In the United States he received his Master's Degree at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University (Slutsky), and his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Maryland (Rodriguez). Dr. Gargiulo is on the piano faculty at the Westerhoff School of Music and the Dwight Conservatory of NY. He is also the founder and director of the Sacred Heart Concert Series, a program that brings classical music to underpriviledged communities and the Water Island Music Festival in the Virgin Islands. Mr. Gargiulo currently resides in New York City.
