Biography In Distortion, Diesel and Bust We Trust... The band Kaross saw it's beginning back in the winter of 2002. Mike, Fredrik and Isaac. Three guys with guitars and one bass. The trio was driven by a desire to make good groovy rocking music, they started to write some tunes and tried to find more people to join in on the fun.... First, drummer Daniel joined in and after a couple of months, Magnus joined on vox. This line up became the first MK of Kaross. Recording songs, rehearsing tough and getting a gig here and there kept it going for a couple of years. Daniel decided to quit after a while and was replaced by drummer virtuoso and extra ordinarie Markus Neuendorf. Later on Isaac would leave his duties as guitar slinger, the band kept on as a four piece for a couple of years... Slowly building reputation as one of the slowest grooviest stoner rock acts in the land. In 2007 The success album MOLOSSUS was released worldwide via Eastground Records and CDBaby. MOLOSSUS achieved a never ending row of positive feedback from the fans and the European/American music press, but due to a lack of drive from the bands management and booking bureau the hype faded and KAROSS did never ever really breakthrough to a broader public. The guys kept on struggling to write a follow-up to the 1st album but the writing did not ever really took of... The band started to fade, and they felt that something was missing... Until summer 2009 when Kaross decided to bring a second guitar onboard and Kalle Sjostrand (ex. SLUG, HATEBOX) joined the band, The band started to write songs for twin guitars in order to achieve a more wider feel. At Halloween 2009 the band debuted as a five-piece with twin guitars in public, it was an instant success, later at the same night Kalle played an additional gig at a packed venue with his former band HATEBOX - this was to be one of HATEBOXs last performances thou, 6 months later Kalle decided to focus 100% on KAROSS where his heart was and put HATEBOX on hold. Early 2010 Figge decided to leave - tryouts for a replacement were made but no slinger of the right taste of the band was found - the band decided to start pre-production of the next album as a four piece until a permanent replacement for Figge was found. Markus, Mike, Kalle and Magnus now had a massive set of Doomy - gloomy - sludging riffs that were compiled into the yet heaviest set of tunes that the band ever had created and the guys felt that DOOM with a touch of Stoner Rock was an very tasty and crispy creme to crack - there was one problem thou - in order to achieve the right stoner groove live - KAROSS needed an additional guitar slinger... ... In September 2011 guitarist Bjorn Midborg (Ex. HATEBOX, Southern Forest) joined KAROSS, and the band continued to record their follow-up to the 2007 success MOLOSSUS as a five-piece, Bjorn was a very skilled rhythm guitarist (as Kalle says - The motherf*kin Malcolm Young of the western wastelands of SWEDEN). The dynamics of the band raised to never before heard levels and Björn did his official debut with KAROSS at METALTOWN FESTIVAL 2012. KAROSS have played at some of SWEDENs biggest festivals such as SWEDEN ROCK in 2009, BORGSTENA 2010 and METALTOWN in 2012 - the guys live to play live independent on venue, fans or occasion. It does not matter if it is at a local MCC party, beer joint or at a packed stadium or at some of the biggest festivals - The guys will play their hearts out for the present audience at any time.... In December 2013 Kaross released their 2nd album 'TWO' on Skulls And Flames Recordings, with an North American release planned January 2014... For more information on the band... I don't know... Google them or something. Sincerely yours... Rocka Doom Roger Band Interests Raising hell and drinking beer Artists We Also Like BLS, DOWN, COC, KYUSS, SYCONAUT, GHOST B.C., CROWBAR, BLACK SABBATH.
