'This is the second album released by the duo unit, Einosuke Nakamura And Atsuko Kudoh. They had comprehended Bossa Nova, Jazz, Guitar Pop and arranged the very pop songs by electronics with the contemporary experimental feelings. So to speak, Shibuya-kei Pop (ex: Cornelius, Kahimi Karie etc.) meets Electronica? There is no doubt people will be carried away by the catchy sounds. This album is not famous very well, but a excellent work.' (bounce.com / Tower Records from Japan) 'Not to be confused with the 90s Mancunian downtempo duo of the same name, Lamb (JPN) is the brainchild of Japanese musician Einosuke Nakamura, who returned to Tokyo after a stint in Paris (France). Reared on classic movie soundtracks by the likes of Henry Mancini or Michel Legrand, Nakamura loves the combination of sound and vision. 'When I make music, I automatically envision a scene. I also work as a cinema reviewer, so it all makes sense.' After poaching singer Atsuko Kudo from his friend's band, he started Lamb (JPN) in 1999 - and their moniker seemed only natural: 'Both of us were born in the year of the sheep. When we started this project, I felt that we weren't really mature yet, but more like a delicate lamb.' This innocent fragility is reflected in the duo's music: 'Goldfish' fuses Brazilian bossa nova and Asian percussion with sparse guitar, a few strings and Kudo's breathy vocals. 'When I wrote this song, I imaged a goldfish gazing at a child in an Asian back alley. Very sweet, soft and gentle, like a country breeze.' Lamb (JPN)'s understated sound has won them plenty of fans in their native country - their tracks 'Hawaii' and 'Organica' reached the No.1 spot in a number of Japanese MP3 communities. After 'Lamblike Music' and the remix CD 'Wool Work' (both 2003), their second CD 'Ranch Hour Pop' followed suit in 2005. And with more than 80 new songs already in the pipeline, it promises to be long, interesting musical journey - for both Lamb (JPN) and their fans!' (Mixed Tape / Mercedes- Benz from Germany)
