After The Storm is the newest release by Lightnin Rod & the Thunderbolts. The album was mastered at R&R Productions by Robyn Robins (former keyboardist of Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band). He has mastered over 60 Gold and Platinum Albums by artists such as U2 and Van Morrison. Lightnin Rod & the Thunderbolts are a blues rock band from southeast Michigan. ("Wilson is a solid guitarist and is equally satisfying on vocals as well. The band is also first rate. When this CD rocks, it rocks hard." CD Review, Graham Clarke, Blues Bytes). Their debut release "All American Blues" received excellent reviews and is being played on radio stations coast to coast, as well as stations in England, Belgium, Holland, Canada, and Argentina. The band shows the influence of Rod's major influences such as: Bob Seger, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Howlin' Wolf. ("There is no mystery to Rod's lyrical attitude it directly corresponds to the no-nonsense music." Review, White Throne Magazine). The title cut of "All American Blues" appeared on the nationally syndicated blues show "Blues Deluxe" on 93 radio stations nationwide. The band consists of Lightnin Rod Wilson with guitar and vocals, Wally Weeber on drums, Brother Bill Lewis on bass, Eric Korte on tenor saxophone, and Dale Beagle on piano and keyboard. Wally Weeber has played with John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, and Robert Cray at the Pipeline in Seattle. Brother Bill Lewis has performed with Detroit artists Al Hill, and Sir Mack Rice (Author of Mustang Sally). He has also played with country legend Pam Tillis and performed at the WC Handy Awards after winning the International Blues Challenge as part of Chef Chris & The Nairobi Trio. Eric Korte has played with Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Mitch Ryder, Clarence Clemons, and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. Dale Beagle has performed with country stars Crystal Gale, Holly Dunn, and Billy Dean. He has also played with Shirley King (B.B. King's daughter) and former Ted Nugent front man Derick Saint Holmes. Prior to forming the Thunderbolts, Rod had a #1 internet radio song on MP3.com in the general blues category. ("One of the best independent songwriters in the country." Review, Entertainer Magazine) The Thunderbolts are a rare commodity of true musicianship lacking in today's music scene. ("This band is obviously a crowd pleaser when heard live, and this CD won't disappoint their fans, or other fans of strong rock based blues." CD Review, Graham Clarke, Blues Bytes)
