Lisa Koch, one of Seattle's most talented performers, began her recording career with the release of Colorblind Blues. While Lisa leads a fairly normal life (according to some), she is, nonetheless, color-challenged. Being colorblind is an unusual feat for a woman, and Lisa appears to revel in her uniqueness. The title cut offers an amusing look at the ambiguity of greens and blues in her life and the tribulations of trying to come up with a matching outfit.... Beaver Cleaver Fever, a cult hit from the CD, is about late night television and, well, having a thing for Mrs.Cleaver. Hickey, a wry look at dating someone whose touch resembles a Hoover, will make you laugh out loud. Then there's the lovely ballad, Stay For the Ride - about hanging in when things get tough, or All Night Long - about, well, uh, love. This is a CD that has stood the test of time and continues to sell well. Once fans discover Lisa's music, they usually buy a copy of each release for their collection. More info: LISA KOCH (demented singer/songwriter/comedian/Britney Spears body-double...) Picture the triangulated love child of Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, and Karen Carpenter... and you've got Lisa Koch. An irreverent Seattle singer/comedian, Koch ("Coke") is a deliciously twisted mix of comedy, theater, and demented songs. She has 4 solo recordings, is one-half of hilarious sketch-comedy duo, Dos Fallopia ('My Breasts Are Out of Control'), and is an alumnus of cult quartet Venus Envy ('I'll Be A Homo for Xmas'). She has shared the stage with a diverse group of performers-- Steve Martin, Dave Brubeck, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Kate Clinton, and Janis Ian. Lisa has co-written such warped shows as 'The Carpeters: Uncomfortably Close To You,' "Two's Company, I'm a Crowd," and "Ham for the Holidays: Desperate Spuddwives." She also finds time to work as an actor, appearing in 'The Vagina Monologues," 'Dirty Blonde," and as the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz" (5th Ave Theatre). She performs regularly on Olivia Cruises, and tours her one-woman cabaret show, "Return to Planet Lisa'. She is the composer of a new musical about Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas ('27 rue de Fleurus'), which premeired Off-Broadway in the spring of 2008. '...reminiscent of the uproariously tacky mishmash once beloved by the Divine Miss M.... ' --Out Magazine "Hearing Seattle's Lisa Koch is one of life's wickedest pleasures..." --Curve Magazine 'Koch has the same mischievous energy as the early Bette Midler. She seems to have that sense of joi de vivre that makes her instantly likeable. She's an out lesbian with a universal appeal...' --Washington Blade.
