We won The Jury Prize at Berklee College of Music's 'Battle of the Executive Bands' in 2009. We played at Fenway Park in 2008. John Mellencamp sat in with us at a party during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. We performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as finalists in the 2004 Corporate Battle of the Bands. Our music has been on MTV, PBS, and NBC. We've been the backing band for Ellis Paul and Don White, as well as the house band at numerous shows at the legendary Club Passim in Cambridge MA. But in case you've never heard of us -- trust us, we won't be offended -- we're a bunch of guys, based loosely in the Boston area, who love to escape our lives for few hours every month to play our (hopefully!) unique brand of acoustic-fueled, electrically-charged, harmony-driven songs. Who are we? Jon Svetkey writes the songs, strums the acoustic guitar and sings. (Once upon a time, Jon shared the stage with the likes of Kristian Bush, Shawn Mullins, Peirce Pettis and Dar Williams. He also founded a songwriters' group called End Construction, with Ellis Paul, Jim Infantino and Brian Doser.) Everett Pendleton slays electric guitar, harmonizes, and never stops moving. Jack Cavalier and Michael Cahill drive the band on bass and drums. Rob Laurens, our newest member, adds orchestration on piano, organ and accordian. And whenever we're lucky enough, Tom Simons rips it up on electric guitar. Our new album is sort of a classic folk-rock inspired stew that combines equal parts Beatles, Stones, Allmans, Petty and Springsteen with a little country and folk thrown in for good measure. We hope you'll give it a spin and tell your friends to check it out too.
