Another short preface by Martin Rummel, whose understanding and appreciation not only for the work, but also for his audience is so considerate: 'In this version of Winterreise not a single note by Schubert or a single word by Muller is changed. You hear what Schubert wrote in 1827 - only divided into parts: The cello plays exactly the same notes as the tenor for whom they were written, and the text is read before the music.
