In 2004, Matt Stivers released a solo EP titled SONGS FROM FRONT STREET. The project began in the mountain town of Missoula, Montana now a growing metropolitan area. Amidst the dusty bars in this college town exists a diverse culture of college students, hippies, and rednecks among other interesting folk. From this culture, singer/songwriter Matt Stivers enlisted the help of local legends Jim Rogers (organ/keys) and Ric Parnell (drums). The three recorded in Jim's home studio in the winter of 2003 with arrangement and tracking assistance from engineer/co-producer Richard McIntosh. Tommy 'V' Verdonck laid down the lead guitar and tracking continued in engineer/co-producer Scott Dailey's California home studio. The project was finally mixed by McIntosh, Stivers, and Dailey at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, California in the spring of 2004. Produced by Matt Stivers for Grizshack Recordings.
