'Night Grooves - Remixes from the Ballet Score' was a CD I released in conjunction with the premiere of Julia Adam's ballet 'Night' for the San Francisco Ballet in the spring of 2000. Julia choreographed a Chagall inspired dreamscape with fantastic images including a three headed woman. My brother Benjamin danced the lead male part and designed the costumes and set projections. Conductor Scott Speck took my painstakingly orchestrated string sketches to another level with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. On opening night, the house erupted with a whoosh of applause and ovation surprising everyone involved. A dancer remarked that the War Memorial Opera House had not heard that level of response for a very long time. It's incredible reception was matched by the thrill of hearing my music performed at the Opera Garnier in Paris and Covent Garden in London in the summer of 2001.
