Mountain: Crossroader: Anthology 1970 - 1974
Title: Crossroader: Anthology 1970 - 1974
Label: Esoteric

Digitally re-mastered two CD anthology containing the best of Mountain's classic recordings spanning the years 1970-74. Formed in 1969 by guitarist Leslie West and bass player and Cream producer Felix Pappalardi. Prior to securing a recording contract, the band made an impressive impact at the Woodstock Festival in August of that year. With the death of Pappalardi in 1983, West would continue to resurrect the band in various guises, but the recordings made between 1970 and 1974 remain the finest work under the Mountain name. 26 tracks.
