Musaic's mission is to share beautiful men's a cappella singing with our San Francisco Bay Area community. Our music is rooted in classical choral traditions, through a repertoire that includes a variety of genres and languages. The members of Musaic are passionate about men's ensemble singing, and enjoy the artistic balance and musical fellowship it brings to our lives. Musaic began in 2000 as a few friends gathering to sing for their own pleasure. By 2001, we grew to eight members, performed our first concert, and took the name Musaic to represent a mosaic of song and voice. In 2002, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. In 2005, we hired our first director who was not also a singer. In 2011 we re-focused our goals on collaborative and benefit concerts in the Bay Area under the direction of Linda Noble Brown, and moved our rehearsal home to Linda's music studio in San Rafael. In 2012 we performed a special Spring concert series of popular and show tunes with accompanied solos, and accompanied works by Benjamin Britten and Conrad Susa at Christmas. In 2014 we recorded our 5th album, Oh, What A Kick!. It was our first album recorded in a professional studio (Studio Trilogy in San Francisco). Musaic is always looking for talented male singers, and community collaborations. For more information please visit us online or email info@musaicsf.org. Linda Noble Brown Musical Director After a 25 year history as director of music, choir director and soloist, as well as being an occasional guest clinician with various local choirs, Linda is very excited to step into her new role as director of Musaic. Favorite leading roles include Zerbinetta, Baby Doe, Cunegonde, the Queen of the Night and Olympia.
