2011 album from the Swedish singer/songwriter. Despite the comparisons to the late Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse and, at other times, the famed Radiohead, Welcome to the Promising Land of Hi5ers And Hopeless People is uniquely Niels Nielsen. The album is the result of Niels locking himself in a three square meter room in the basement of his parents' house one winter. Niels describes his life at the time as claustrophobic, and he needed to dig deep to find a way to sort it out. Welcome... was his way to describe himself to himself.
