Nine Pound Shadow is brothers Breandain and Christopher Langlois. Their debut single "Melody" caught the attention of Danger Mouse who included the song on last year's 30th Century Records, Volume 1 compilation and signed the band to the label. The duo's austere pop dirty yet majestic (think The Zombies) possesses a romantic lilt. There's a lightness to the scuzz, and an undeniable buzz as knotty guitars and hissing acoustics make for an era-transcending missive. The EP, produced by Asa Taccone (Electric Guest) includes the tracks "Bridges" and "Tell Me Why."
