Vinyl LP pressing. 2012 debut solo album from Rachel Zeffira, best known as the vocalist from Horrors offshoot band Cat's Eyes. The Deserters is both beautiful and beguiling - a rapturous tour de force that recalls the baroque pop of John Cale and the hazy experimentation of My Bloody Valentine and This Moral Coil Fans of everyone from Bat for Lashes to the Horrors will find something to enjoy here. The artwork features photos from celebrated fashion photographer Yuval Hen. The album was written and produced entirely by Rachel and was recorded at Miloco's the Pool and Abbey Road Studios alongside engineer Ben Thackeray.
