Painted On Blue, Sharon Falk's debut recording of thirteen original songs fuses her dual life as a singer/songwriter and a visual artist. Her passionate voice is accompanied by her delicate fingerstyle guitar, and surrounded by the many colors and rhythms of instrumentalist John Guth, who also played on the recording. In the songs of Painted On Blue, Sharon paints worlds and relationships against the backdrop of growing up in the wide horizons of the desert southwest, and years spent in New Orleans, and New York, where she now makes her home. Her songs are about freedom and understanding one's own journey; to celebrate the unique story that is in each of us. Falk has spent a decade of playing in clubs in New York and throughout the South. She has performed at The Turning Point, The Bitter End, Fast Folk Cafe, Kenny's Castaways, Speakeasy, Sine, Sun Mountain, and Centerfold Coffee House; and performed in the Songwriters Guild Showcase at the AES Convention at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, and at BMI's Collaborators Connection at the Bitter End. On tour Sharon has performed at The Bluebird Café in Nashville, Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, The Down Home in Johnson City, Iroquois Club in Roanoke, Broadway Arts in Asheville, and Canal St. Tavern in Dayton.
