Born in Athens, Greece, Michalis Sourvinos is an award-winning classical concert guitarist who performed as a soloist in multiple orchestras in Greece and with international ensembles all over the world. He was awarded with the First Prize at the "Volos International Guitar Festival" in 1997, the First Prize at the 9th "Las Palmas Guitar Festival (Canary Islands - Spain) in 1998, the First Prize with the "Classical Mandolin Orchestra of Athens" at the 5th International Competition at Julich - Koslar (Germany) in 1998 and the Third Prize with "Romido Cuerda Quartet" at the International Guitar Competition at Osnabruck of Germany in 2004.
