Forged in the blazing heat of the Austin, Texas music scene, Street Light Suzie is a rock quartet like no other. Band leader and songwriter Wiley Ross started the band as a trio four years ago. After touring the country, including a packed house at LA's Viper Room, personnel changed and the new lineup became a fearsome foursome. This gave Ross the chance to do more on stage as a showman and to add keyboards to the mix. The last two years the band has continued to play Texas and the Midwest. In September of 2011 the band's blistering demos got the attention of Guns 'N Roses alum Gilby Clarke. The union was a resounding success as the band traveled to LA to record in Clarke's studio. The result is the critically acclaimed "Red Album". The group has also been very successful placing their songs in film and television, including credits on CSI, Nikita, Ringer, VH1 and E! Shows. Ross, a powerful vocalist, is described as a "cross between Zakk Wylde and Billy Gibbons. As a guitarist, keyboarder and songwriter, he is also known for his artwork. He has painted murals for the city of Austin, displayed paintings in the state capitol, and delights fans at their live shows with his hand-painted T-shirts. (see Wiley's shirts at Bleach T's by Wiley on Facebook). Holding down the bass guitar is Joe "Oso" Morales, a long-time friend of Ross and occasional co-writer. He was the first new man in the lineup. Rob Williamson is on drums and is a renowned Austin percussionist and well-traveled road veteran. Together Morales and Williamson form the pillars of rock in the band's sound. Newest to the lineup is guitarist and backup vocalist Nikkoli Kade Kubena, who is a front-man and band showman in his own right in the Austin scene. Together this incendiary quartet brings back hard rock and roll the way it was meant to be played. "It may sound gritty, but it goes down good" reports KLBJ-FM in Austin.
