The German hard rock band Subway was formed in 1986. In 1990 their debut album "Dangerous Games" was released by the Swiss label Pink Seven Music and in 1992 they reached position 37 in the Swiss album charts thanks to their second album "Hold On To Your Dreams". This album was not only released in Europe but also in Taiwan, Japan and Korea, where the video of the single "Hear You Cry" got a lot of airplay. Tours and shows with Manfred Mann's Earthband, Axxis or Talisman followed soon after. In 1994 the band traveled to the USA to produce their third album there. During the recordings from January to March in Los Angeles 1994 an earthquake struck with a strong moment magnitude of 6.7. Many people were killed but the band survived without any injuries. The band dedicated their third album to the victims of this natural disaster. After a few reshuffles the fourth album was released in 1998 and was published in Japan and Switzerland in 2000 under the title "Don't Look Back". Tours with Asia and Kansas followed until the band broke up in 2003. Since vocalist Francis Soto thought of this end as unworthy for this formation he decided to reform Subway in 2009 and recorded the album "Lola's Themes". With the new line-up consisting of Francis, Markus Metzger (songwriter & keyboard), Harald Uitz (guitar), Sebastien Wittmann (guitar), Frank "Mampf" Herold (bass) and drummer Bernd Heinig Subway returns to the stages.
