This is the first collection to combine the two legendary albums made by the great songwriting team of Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller."Scooby Doo" was released in 1956 under Jerry Leiber's name and it is chock full of, as the title suggests, "Good Rock & Roll for Dancing" which is all played by the cream of Los Angeles jazz men including Ernie Freeman and Plas Johnson. "Yakety Yak" followed in 1960 and includes 11 superb versions of their biggest hits including "Bazoom", "Jailhouse Rock", "Hound Dog" and of course "Yakety Yak" all played by what is essentially the Count Basie Band just without the Count himself. Great stuff!
