After releasing their 2013 critically acclaimed album, HIT THE WAVES, The Mary Onettes hit #1 on music blog Hypem with their song 'Evil Coast'. Now they return with a brilliant new album and a new blog hit called 'Silence Is a Gun' which is already getting praise from leading outlets such as Brooklyn Vegan, KEXP, Under the Radar and Stereogum. 'We wanted to create a scenario to fit with the songs. So we decided it could be a journey into space. A silent hunt for something else. We always end up seeing our albums as small films. And Portico: would definitely be our little space saga. It's a bit of a spiritual album. I want to get connected to nothingness' frontman Philip Ekstrom comments on the album.
