Although he was a more-than competent songwriter himself, some of BILLY FURY's biggest hits were covers and/or revivals of American discs. This unique compilation presents the US hit versions of thirty-one songs which Billy later recorded, variously as A-side, B-sides, or EP/LP tracks. Artists featured herein range from well-known, major players like Marty Robbins, Frankie Laine, Gladys Knight, Johnnie Ray, Hank Williams, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, etc. , to obscure names like Austin Taylor, Nicki North, Barry Darvell, Ricky Shaw, Chase Webster, The Blackwells, etc This is, of course, the first time that such a compilation has been assembled, and is therefore a mandatory must-have for Billy Fury fans. Many of the rarer sides herein are unavailable elsewhere on CD.
