This is the final release in our 12-volume set of the 24 Reicha Woodwind Quintets. It contains Reicha's first two Quintets, including his most-famous op. 88, no. 2, in Eb. Although these are shorter and a bit lighter than the rest of the quintets in the series, they are still rather substantial pieces of music, symphonic in scope and full of signature Reicha beautiful melodies, wonderful counterpoint, and thrilling allegros. They time at 21:28 and 26:55. It is amazing that all of the Reicha Quintets are unique; none copy from other ones, yet they retain the beauty and interest that is a hallmark of Anton Reicha's Woodwind Quintets.
