Bargain basement Bach-here's a really fine collection of the some of the most popular organ pieces at a rock-bottom price. You get the Phantom of the Opera Toccata and Fugue in D minor, the Passacaglia and Fugue, the St. Anne Prelude and Fugue, the Toccata, Adagio and Fugue, and if that's not enough, two lovely chorale preludes. Wolfgang Rubsam has previously recorded all of this music for Philips, and his Bach pedigree is second to none. As a sample of his ongoing complete edition, or as a stand-alone introduction to the greatest organ music in the history of mankind, this disc fits the bill perfectly.
