Genre: Rap/Hip Hop
2012 album from one of the most controversial rappers in the game, Sacramento's X-Raided has long prided himself on that title. By releasing over 17 albums in 20 years, X-Raided has provided consistent hardcore rap to it's rabid fan base. What makes it even more amazing is that the majority of those albums were recorded (with perfect studio quality) while X-Raided has been in prison. By recording surreptitiously while in prison, X was able to continuously release music. With a prison guard helping him access the necessary equipment, X's albums have maintained perfect quality as post-production is completed at a top-tiered studio. When asked about these recording, Jerry Smith, Community Resources Manager at Salinas State Prison stated, "it's a mystery how such vocal sessions could take place. Inmates are not allowed to have tape recorders."
