An Evening with Dave Grusin is an ambitious endeavor. The producers, Larry Rosen and Phil Ramone, have given a good account of the concert in the original liner notes included in the pages of this recording. The live concert was recorded by Eric Schilling and mastered by Paul Blakemore. This landmark Jazz Roots concert celebrates the music and career of Dave Grusin - pianist, composer, arranger, and multi-Grammy and Academy Award winner. Artists joining in the festivities include the 75-piece Henry Mancini Orchestra, Jon Secada, Patti Austin, and Gary Burton. For this version, Michael Bishop at Five/Four Productions has used the UHD 32-Bit format for re-mastering with a view to further augmenting the musicality. Ultra High Definition 32-Bit Mastering is a proprietary ultra-high-quality mastering system. This leading-edge system has achieved unprecedented sonority and musicality, reproducing as closely as possible the sound of the original master tape! Playable on all CD Players no special equipment is needed to enjoy the superior sound of this recording.
